Beautiful Treasures

As many are aware that Pastor and I have recently built a new home, I love pretty rooms and I've been on a continous mission to fill my house with beautiful things. As I was thanking the Lord for the many treasures he has so graciously provided, I was trying to remember the scripture in Proverbs that talks about a house being built by wisdom and rooms being filled with beautiful things. The Lord drew my focus to a plaque above my door. It was a gift for my birthday from a dear friend and on it was the very scripture I was trying to remember. Proverbs 24:3-4 NIV reads: "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." As I meditated on this thought, the Lord brought to my attention another scripture. John 14:2 reads, "In my fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you...." The NIV version replaces mansions with rooms. They both refer to a dwelling place. Although many people expect a physical mansion when they get to heaven, I believe that Jesus prepared a way for us to dwell in a spiritual mansion or dwelling place here on earth; a place of health, prosperity, peace, joy and love. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Through wisdom it is built, through understanding it is extablished, and through knowledge it is filled with rare and beautiful treasures. Through the love of Jesus Christ and comprehending the revelation knowleldge of His Word, which is life and health to our bodies, the rooms of our heart are filled with priceless treasures. Jesus goes on to say in John 14 that where He is, we can be also. Jesus walked in victory here on this earth and He said that we would do even greater things because He goes to the father. We don't have to wait for heaven to dwell in a mansion and somehow I believe that when we get there, only then will we really comprehend what God meant when he said that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love him. I know that as long as I seek God and his Kingdom first, then, all these things will be added unto me. Even as I fill my physical dwelling with lovely things, I also continue on my mission to remain in the knowledge of Him, praying continually that the rooms of my heart are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. Be blessed.
